Almost done!

Saturday, 12 January 2008 07:44 Written by David H. Johnston
As of this post, James Castrission and Justin Jones are only 23.16km from shore! They are on track to land in just a couple of hours.

A bit of a damper on their spirits was the death of Sir Edmund Hillary who was their idol and a huge inspiration during the planning of the trip. Their determination to reach New Zealand was fuelled by a desire to meet him.

Thousands of people are expected to welcome Castrission and Jones at Port Taranaki in New Plymouth today, exactly two months after the duo departed Forster, New South Wales.

Their website, crossingtheditch.com.au been following their progress in real time. They also posted a video to youtube.
