Boring Site News

We got back from vacation yesterday and it's taking a bit to get caught up with all my emails and such. We took a little road trip down to the mini-put capital of North America, Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.

I'm on Vacation

I'm on vacation until next week so don't expect any new postings until then. Since my vacation started, a recent blog posting seems to have created a pile of interest and comments (including personal attacks against me). The posting has been removed as I don't want to deal with it while I am away. I will get it all sorted out later next week. I am very happy to hear your responses to my blog postings but personal attacks against me will be removed.
Got a bug worked out in the instructor resources so the download buttons are now active. If you are logged in, feel free to head over and grab as many as you want. For those who have never stopped in, you don't know what you have been missing, we have a huge collection of free resources for all types of paddling instructors. Resource topics range from lesson plans to a powerpoint presentation I found on how to operate a sextant. It's quite an eclectic collection of stuff. Speaking of stuff, I am always on the hunt for things. If you know of any cool resources that we can add contact me and I can add it for you. I'm particularly looking for lesson plans and "how to teach" type documents. It doesn't need to pretty as I'm happy to format it for you. Of course you will get all the credit for contribution to the paddling instructor community.

AWOL

Sorry for the lack of posts over the past couple of days. We recently switched servers and getting the new server up and running has taken all of my free time up. Now that the dust has settled a bit, I can get back to reading the news. The new server should bring more reliability to the site and faster load times.
Just discovered and fixed a bug in the Instructor Resources section that wasn't allowing the download link to show up for people who are members of PaddlingInstructor.com. Sorry about that. Download away. Also, I am always on the hunt for new resources. It seems like lots of people are too scared to send their lesson plans in. I don't know why, they are the most highly requested type of stuff in our collection. Remember, if it works for your teaching style, it will work for others and if it doesn't, it will provide them with good ideas at least. I'm happy to format it to make it look pretty so you don't need to worry about that. Finally, like everything on the site, I'm happy to give full credit where credit is due. It's your work btw. Email me with any questions.
