My Daughters New Invisibility Club

By:
The Invisible Jet

I have a fairly loose rule that I don't talk about my kids online. Not sure why. Just don't. Well, I'm going to break it.

My wife is great with the kids and can think really fast on her feet which always leaves me amazed.

Today my oldest daughter who is seven came home bragging that she is now part of a new club at school. The Invisibility Club. Yeah, I don't know what's with it but she the ringleader. She also quickly announced that our youngest daughter who is 5 couldn't be a member under any circumstances.

You can tell where this is going. Tears and lots of yelling.

Nigel Foster Arrested!

By:
Chinese Police BoatWell, he almost got arrested.

Nigel was in China with the staff and owner of Point 65 Kayaks for the official opening of their manufacturing factory over there.

After the festivities (and their last day in China), somebody got the bright idea of going on a night paddle down "The Bund" which is part of the Huangpu River. As far as they knew nobody had ever kayaked along that section before.

Things were good but then two police boats saw them and flagged them down with a search light. After being told to get off the water and come aboard, they had to call their lawyer in China who negotiated their release over a cell phone.

Luckily they were able to still make their flights back home!

How is that for a dynamic, sensational headline!

Kayaking Fishing and a Marlin - Photo by Jock Bradley

Have you ever wondered, "What's the deal with kayak fishing and why is it so popular these days?

Well, it looks a whole lot more interesting then sitting on shore like Opie did in the Andy Griffith Show. One of the biggest appeals is the fact that when you hook on to something, you get dragged around quite a bit making even the smallest fish seem much bigger.
Wilderness Pleasures: A Practical Guide to Camping BlissI'm very excited as I just discovered that author, Kevin Callan has finished up another great book to be released this Fall.

Wilderness Pleasures: A Practical Guide to Camping Bliss looks why we love the wilderness and how everyone from rigged canoetrippers to family car-campers can get more enjoyment from their time outdoors.
