An excellent written piece explaining how to use the relative wind direction to help predict the weather. Wonderful information on how upper trade winds affect weather at ground level. I think I finally got it figured out for the first time! One note, this was written for weather patterns in Central Canada so it could be slightly different in your area but the science behind it is the same.
Published by the Australian Maritime Safety Authority, this document is a 5 page primer to the basics of weather and tides. There is a good breakdown and descriptions of the Beaufort Scale with documented photos.
