category. One of 27 products awarded, the MSR HyperFlow microfilter was

The
third annual OutDoor INDUSTRY product design competition considered 280
product submissions from 25 countries. An international jury of design
experts evaluated products on a wide variety of criteria including
degree of innovation, design quality, workmanship, material,
environmental compatibility, functionality, utility, safety,
trendsetting character and brand value.
The MSR HyperFlow
microfilter surpasses any other filter available in terms of
performance with an impressively fast flow rate of more than three
liters per minute. Compact and lightweight at only 7.4 ounces (210
grams), the HyperFlow microfilter features over-molded end caps for
excellent ergonomic grip and comfortable pumping. A broad surface area
pre-filter prevents sediment from entering the filter core, and allows
users to pick up water from minimal or shallow sources. It also
securely interfaces with almost any receptacle for pumping clean water
into-MSR hydration products, hard plastic bottles, and anything with a
63 millimeter threaded opening-via the Quick-ConnectTM Bottle Adapter
included. The filter can also be adapted for use as a pump-free gravity
filter with the HyperFlow Gravity Kit, sold separately.
The MSR HyperFlow microfilter is currently available in stores at a retail price of $99.95 USD.
