Teva Partners With Waterkeeper Alliance To Clean Public Waterways
Tuesday, 15 April 2008
Goleta, CA (April 14, 2008) - Teva® (a division of Deckers Outdoor Corporation NASDAQ: DECK) takes action on the rivers and waterways of your backyard this spring as they partner with local Waterkeeper Alliance programs to host a series of regional river clean-ups.

Water is the most precious of our natural resources yet each day the state of our global waterways grows more endangered by pollution. To help combat this reality Teva will partner with Waterkeeper Alliance to bring awareness to our local waterways and inspire communities to get involved in efforts to clean them up.

"Teva exists because of the rivers and canyons we've explored, run in and enjoyed over the years. Our heritage obligates us to get involved with the protection of these waterways," says Pete Worley, Teva Brand President. "We are proud to stand along with Waterkeeper Alliance in this effort against polluters, and give hope that change is possible."

Starting in early April 2008 and going throughout the year, each event will be a collaboration of efforts between the following local Waterkeeper programs and Teva retailers. To get involved, visit www.teva.com/curbside for more information.

Upper Neuse Riverkeeper Hudson Riverkeeper
Lower Mississippi Riverkeeper Puget Soundkeeper
Buzzards Baykeeper San Francisco Baykeeper
Great Salt Lakekeeper Santa Barbara Channelkeeper

"On 177 waterways around the world a local Waterkeeper is on patrol, standing up for clean water and everyone's right to clean water," says Steve Fleischli, Waterkeeper Alliance President. "Waterkeeper Alliance and Teva are working together to give people in communities around the U.S. a chance to take action locally and support their local Waterkeeper in protecting our waterways."

Teva and Waterkeeper Alliance also worked together with leading IMAX® Theater film producers, MacGillivray Freeman Films, on a film that débuted worldwide, March 2008. Grand Canyon Adventure: River At Risk will help to further communicate the importance of watershed protection.
