New Canadian Klepper Folding Kayak website and Classic Product Launch

October 31, 2009 – Ottawa, Ontario - Klepper Folding Kayaks launched a new Canadian portal www.klepper.ca, to better meet Canadian paddlers’ increased interest in Klepper folding kayaks.

“Canadians are passionate about paddling sports and have always been drawn to folding kayaks, understandably so, as you have so many lakes, rivers and oceans to discover”, says Gerhard Schedel from the Klepper head office and manufacturing facility in Rosenheim, Germany. “Like Germans, Canadians enjoy traveling and folding kayaks are a perfect companion for winter getaways on waters in the warm southern sun...” Schedel continues. The new Canadian website features Klepper folding kayaks, sailing gear and accessories, but more importantly, it is a portal which connects directly into the Canadian paddling experience and highlights Klepper events in Canada.

In preparation for the 2010 paddling season, the very popular and rightly-priced Classic line of kayaks has been expanded and now features:
  • the winning Aerius Classic SL 490, a longer single with a wider cockpit;
  • the Aerius Classic II + 545, the best selling Klepper in Europe, a longer tandem folding kayak; and
  • the Aerius Classic XXL 585 the triple/quadruple Klepper for the whole family or lots of gear.
These new products come on the heals of several years of innovation at Klepper including the new lighter carbon frame for tandem Aerius Expedition and Quattro models, a much lighter yet resistant TPU hull option which sheds 30% off the weight for Aerius Expedition and Quattro models, and two
lighter Smartline models which sport PVC hulls, the single Smart Alu 400 and the double Smart 520.

Canadians now have access to even more folding kayak information and boat options to paddle and sail. The Klepper legacy which started in 1907 with the first commercialization of kayaks worldwide and captured Gold, Silver and Bronze medals at the 1936 Berlin Olympic Games is still going strong!
